Ruotolo Associates (RA) congratulates Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, Minnesota, for recently surpassing the $10.5 million-dollar goal of their Our Call to Lead and Serve Campaign.
RA worked with Academy’s leadership to craft a case that included endowment and capital projects, combined with strategic growth for their Annual Fund. RA partnered with the Academy to establish a campaign strategy reflecting both the rich tradition of the school and its potential for the future.
RA’s counsel to the advancement team strengthened their solicitation skills and enhanced their capacity to manage volunteers. We trained the Board of Trustees and Campaign Cabinet, guiding them through the key stages of planning and execution.

As an all-girls school through the early seventies, their base of major gift prospects had been historically limited. Recognizing the opportunity to shift the culture of philanthropy in the community, RA guided prospect research and designed cultivation strategies to engage a broader base of donors. In addition to achieving 100% participation from faculty and staff, as well as the Board and Cabinet, the campaign welcomed more gifts from parents and young alumni, lengthening the life cycle of their average donor. The campaign strategy resulted in the solicitation of the Academy’s first 7-figure gift and exponential growth in major gifts.
Raising more than three times any previous effort in the school’s history while significantly expanding participation, the campaign positioned the Academy of Holy Angels for sustained success.
