Nancy Kennedy-0201Nancy Kennedy’s background is a unique blend of corporate executive leadership and non-profit volunteerism and financial development. She has experience running successful events, both corporate and non-profit, and a history of building strong relationships with board members, donors (individual and corporate) and constituents. Nancy has worked on campaigns for local, national and international disaster relief as well as major gifts campaigns for local operational funding. She has been successful in engaging volunteer partners in cultivating, sustaining and growing financial support.

As part of the RA team, Nancy’s clients have included Project Morry, White Plains, NY; St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Ozark, MO; Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ; Catholic Campus Ministry at Rutgers University, NJ; Franciscan Friars, Holy Name Province, New York, NY.

Nancy’s non-profit experience started when she became a volunteer with the American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey. She is a trained disaster responder and has held many leadership positions with the Red Cross, including serving on the Disaster and Volunteer Leadership Committees and on the Merger Committee to help oversee the unification of three chapters into the Northern New Jersey Chapter. She helped train volunteers to deploy to the southern states in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and assisted the CEO on major management and fundraising projects including the Chapter Strategic Plan and Disaster Fundraising Plan. She received the Diane Keane volunteer award, the highest award granted by that chapter. Nancy was invited by the National Red Cross to speak in Washington to the founding members of the Tiffany Circle, Society of Women Leaders as well as assisted in the launch of the Tiffany Circle in the local chapter, helping to raise $450,000, the largest amount for any chapter in the country. Additionally, she joined the Red Cross as a Major Gifts Officer responsible for individual, corporate and foundation fundraising in three counties in northern New Jersey. She continues as a disaster response volunteer and serves on the committee for the chapter’s Heroes Breakfast.

Prior to joining the Red Cross staff, Nancy spent nearly 20 years in the Financial Services industry, most recently as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Sales. During her tenure at Morgan Stanley, Nancy developed and managed the policies, procedures, budget and strategic plan for over 100 employees, and provided guidance and assistance to Senior Executives and staff on Human Resources issues including recruiting, performance evaluation, employee development and mentoring. She led the successful effort to rebuild all functions of the department after their offices were destroyed on September 11, 2001, served as Business Continuity Coordinator, and was an effective project manager with responsibility for conferences and events that ranged from 25 – 900 participants.

Nancy is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a BS in Human Resources Management, has completed Sandler Sales training and is a member of the Bergen County Executive Fundraisers. She is also a Fellow of Leadership New Jersey, Class of 2009. She resides in Ridgewood with her husband, Dave.
